Nadine De Klerk, Grace Harris Shine as RCB Enter WPL 2026 Final

Nadine De Klerk and Grace Harris starred as Royal Challengers Bengaluru dominated UP Warriorz by eight wickets to secure a spot in the WPL 2026 final. The win not only propelled RCB to the top of the standings but also virtually ended UP Warriorz’s playoff hopes.

RCB’s Dominant Display Against UP Warriorz

In Vadodara, former champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru delivered a comprehensive performance to crush UP Warriorz. After winning the toss, RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana chose to field, and the decision quickly paid off. Nadine De Klerk’s brilliant 4/22 and Grace Harris’ 2/22 reduced UP Warriorz to a below-par 143 for 8, despite a blistering start from opener Deepti Sharma.

The early dominance of UP Warriorz, powered by Deepti Sharma and Meg Lanning, was effectively nullified as RCB’s bowlers applied consistent pressure. Deepti Sharma struck a fluent 55 off 43 balls, while Lanning contributed 41 in a 72-run opening stand. However, from 74 without loss in eight overs, UPW collapsed to 103 for 4 in 13.2 overs as De Klerk and Harris triggered a decisive middle-over slump.

Nadine De Klerk Leads Bowling Charge

De Klerk’s four-wicket haul proved pivotal in halting the UP Warriorz momentum. She first dismissed Meg Lanning before trapping Amy Jones lbw with a precise cross-seam delivery. Her disciplined line and variation in pace consistently forced errors, setting the stage for Harris to finish the job. De Klerk’s performance reinforced her reputation as one of the most impactful all-rounders in the WPL.

Grace Harris Blazes With the Bat

With the chase of 144 in front of them, Grace Harris took control from the outset. She attacked Kranti Gaud in the opening overs and brought up her fifty off just 28 balls, lofting Asha Sobhana over long-on. Harris’s innings of 75 off 37 balls, laced with 13 fours and two sixes, set the tone for a clinical RCB victory.

Harris built crucial partnerships, notably adding 108 runs with Mandhana, who herself contributed a 26-ball fifty. The duo ensured RCB stormed home with 41 balls to spare, leaving no room for a UP Warriorz comeback.

UP Warriorz Struggle Despite Strong Start

UP Warriorz began confidently with Deepti Sharma and Meg Lanning providing a solid foundation. However, the middle overs exposed vulnerabilities. Harleen Deol (14) and Chloe Tryon (6) fell in quick succession to Harris, while other batters struggled to rotate the strike. By the 14th over, the score had slipped perilously, allowing RCB to seize full control of the game.

The defeat left UP Warriorz hanging at the bottom of the points table with only four points and the worst net run rate, making their path to the playoffs extremely difficult despite a game in hand.

RCB Secures Final Spot and Top of Standings

The win propelled RCB to 12 points, ensuring their place in the WPL 2026 final and topping the five-team league standings. The performance highlighted RCB’s balance of pace and power, with contributions from both international stars and domestic players.

The combination of Nadine De Klerk’s wicket-taking ability and Grace Harris’s explosive batting demonstrated RCB’s championship credentials. Their teamwork and tactical execution will make them strong contenders for the final, while UP Warriorz now face an uphill battle to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Conclusion: Star Performances Power RCB Forward

Nadine De Klerk and Grace Harris were undoubtedly the stars of the match, combining to dominate both with ball and bat. RCB’s eight-wicket triumph exemplified their dominance in the WPL 2026, showcasing a team capable of delivering under pressure. As the league moves into the final, RCB’s confidence and form make them clear favorites to lift the trophy.
